Dusseldorf is indeed an amazing city.  We hear and read much about Berlin, Munich, Hamburg. Frankfurt and, yes, Cologne (!), but it is hard to beat Rhine City Dusseldorf and its environs for economic dynamism, political importance, pragmatic governance, cultural offerings, access to nature, joie de vivre and quality of life.

Not only newcomers need a bit of assistance from time to time navigating the incredible opportunities Dusseldorf has to offer.  For visitors or long-term residents, students or executives, men and women, a well-informed, easy to use, reliable, and up-to-date website has become a sine qua non in making the most out of our lives here.  Even longer-term residents can benefit from websites like “Amazing Dusseldorf.”  It reminds me of the old saying that if it didn’t exist it would have to be invented.

There are more than 20,000 American citizens and dual nationals in Northrhine Westphalia, as well as more than 600 U.S. firms employing more than 170,000 persons and making important contributions to the economy and the U.S.-German relationship. We are proud of their contributions and the contributions of their employees – American, German and other nationalities – to communities here.

The U.S. Consulate General is pleased to be of assistance to those in need of passports and/or other consular services or, where we cannot help you, refer you to the Consulate General in Frankfurt or elsewhere with a broader range of services.  We are pleased to see that “Amazing Dusseldorf” has linked to our website.
