If you like horses, you will love this year’s Equitana festival. 1,500 horses, 50 breeds – The open-air festival on Neuss’ race course is the largest of its kind in NRW with 34,000 visitors last time around.
This year, the annual program will be complemented by “pferdegerecht”, lectures and demonstrations on horse-related topics, and a presentation of Spanish horses.
It goes without saying, that horses and riders will capture your attention in various equestrian disciplines. To pick out one, the Haflinger Gestüt Ziegelhof, Haflinger stud farm, is going to challenge their own world record in riding a quadrille – if everything goes well, 100 horses will trot in unison this Sunday for a new Guinness Book entry. With a combination of sports, information, shopping and entertainment Equitana Open Air is a family-friendly event.
Plus on Saturday night, starting at 8 pm, the band Rooftop will rock the place free of charge.
