As a museum, Villa Erckens became public domain in 1989. In spite of the short period of time, it's developed brilliantly and has gained significance as an important cultural institution.
Compared to other mueums in Rhine County Neuss, Museum Villa Erckens is classical orientated – in the truest sense of the word, as architecturally it is truely a classical buiding. Museum Villa Erckens frequently exhibits a variety of interesting temporary exhibitions.
